You DO NOT need to register for USA Water Polo (USWP) to participate in the following American River Water Polo Club programs:

1. Free Introductory Clinics

2. Noodle Ball and Youth League

3. Winter Program or Summer Academy  

However, USWP Gold Membership is required to participate in any Competitive Program or if you plan to participate in the Olympic Development Program through USA Water Polo.

To Register with USA Water Polo:

You will need the athlete's personal information. You will also be asked to fill in the club name (American River WPC), the club number (85) and  the zone (Central California) you live in.

• Gold - The "complete" athlete membership; eligible for all USAWP sanctioned activity, including club practices, sanctioned events, National Championship Events and all Olympic Development programs.

Why are only Competitive ARWPC athletes required to register with USA Water Polo? We have decided to purchase independent insurance coverage for our athletes and the club and insurance has been the primary reason we have required all participants to be USWP members. For the Competitive program participants, USWP membership is required because almost all club-to-club competition is conducted under the USWP sanction and, thus, USWP membership is required of all of our members so that we can compete in regional and national competitions.

American River Water Polo Club has been a long time and strong supporter of USA Water Polo and will continue to work to grow the sport while continuing to support our national governing body.
